Collimating Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes

Collimation of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCTs) is vital in order to produce the great optical performance possible with this design.  Many new owners of SCTs believe their optics are sub par when all that is needed is a night of good seeing conditions and an accurate collimation.  Rod Mollise has put together an excellent guide to collimation - visit the following page and look towards the bottom for the "Faqs 'n Files" section:
