Scrolling Menu

Introduced with NexStar hand control version 4 (first included with the CPC) and available in all newer versions, the Scrolling Menu sets the default speed for text that scrolls across the display.

Procedure:

  • Press the MENU button and use  the UP/DOWN buttons (6/9 on the number pad)  to scroll to Utilities and press ENTER.
  • Use the UP/DOWN buttons to scroll to Scrolling Menu and press ENTER.
  • Press the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the scroll speed and press ENTER to save the setting.

Additional Details:

  • The old method of using 1, 4 and 7 on the number pad to control the scroll speed dynamically has been removed in hand control version 4.  I find I prefer this new method since it is a permanent setting that remains from one use of the scope to the next.
