Some Settings Are Not Reset by Factory
Settings Command
You will find that not all settings are reset when you execute the
Factory Settings command on the Utilities menu. The following
configuration settings are stored in the motor control section (inside the
mount):
- PEC data (GPS, CPC, CGEM, CGE and CGE Pro models only)
- Anti-backlash settings
- GoTo Approach
- Autoguide Rates
The Factory Settings command does not reset these since it only affects
the values stored in the hand control. Note that since these values
are stored in the motor control, they may be reset when you upgrade the
motor control firmware.
